Hi, I’m Shannon, the face behind Hair by Shannon Hayes.
Originally from Wales, I’ve been working in the hair industry for 20 years, with experience across the UK, Australia and New Zealand. I moved to New Zealand seven years ago and spent my first year living in Queenstown, where I met my partner, who was living in Wanaka. Not long after, I made the move to Wanaka, which has been home ever since.
I’ve built a lovely life here, surrounded by the mountains and outdoors, which I love, as well as enjoying travelling and exploring new places.
After 20 years in the industry, I decided it was time to create something of my own. Hair by Shannon Hayes is a private, one-on-one salon where I can offer a relaxed and personal experience while continuing to do what I love — making people feel great about their hair.
